The acquisition was completed on Jan. 31, 2024, triggering a legal requirement to notify the KPPU by March 19, 2024. However, the company submitted its notification only on Aug. 7 of that year, or 88 days late, the agency said. The KPPU emphasized that the late notification proceeding is separate from the earlier merger review, in which the regulator granted conditional approval for the acquisition on June 17, 2025.
