UK mobile network providers to face revised spectrum charges from October

( July 18, 2025, 15:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK mobile network operators will face revised annual license fees from October as communications regulator Ofcom today announced its decision to cut charges for the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz spectrum by 26 percent, and raise 2100 MHz fees by 6 percent. The changes will reduce total annual payments from around 325 million pounds to 265 million pounds, the watchdog said. Ofcom is also consulting on proposals to amend trading regulations as it seeks to remove a potential barrier to trading mobile spectrum.Statement follows. Full document attached....
