US FTC Commissioner Slaughter welcomes court order finding removal unlawful

( July 17, 2025, 22:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Federal Trade Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter welcomed a US court's order finding that her removal from the agency by US President Donald Trump was unlawful, and said that the  for-cause removal protections that apply to her and colleagues at the FTC also protect other independent economic regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp and the Federal Reserve.
