AI companies’ risk-management regimes are largely inadequate, reports find

( July 17, 2025, 14:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The world’s leading AI developers are generally improving their risk-management practices, but all still have wholly inadequate frameworks, according to reports by two monitoring bodies. SaferAI scored developers against texts such as the EU AI Code of Practice and the G7 Hiroshima Process, and gave Anthropic the highest marks: just 35 percent. Meta's score has improved to 22 percent, from 14 percent last year. The Future of Life Institute found that no developer was prepared for its own stated goals, with none scoring above a D in existential planning. Overall it ranked Anthropic top with a C+ grade, and OpenAI second. Please see the SaferAI statement and Future of Life Institute report attached....
