Omnicom-Interpublic deal approved by Australian antitrust regulator

( July 17, 2025, 02:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Omnicom Group’s $13.25 billion acquisition of Interpublic Group of Companies has been approved by the Australian competition regulator. In a statement today, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that while the proposed acquisition would result in an increase in the companies' combined market share, other suppliers including WPP, Publicis and Dentsu, would continue to compete with Omnicom after the merger.
