UPC caseload approaches 1,000 as of end of June, court says

( July 16, 2025, 12:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Unified Patent Court has said it received 946 cases between June 1, 2023 and June 30, 2025. The total includes 351 infringement actions, 321 counterclaims for revocation and 68 standalone revocation actions. The lower court also processed 94 applications for provisional measures, such as asset freezes and evidence preservation. At the Court of Appeal, 233 appeals were filed under various procedural rules, along with 18 discretionary review requests. The most litigated IPC class was Class H for electric elements, especially for infringement and revocation counterclaims.See UPC caseload attached....
