Daiso defeats design patent claim over storage bins in Japanese IP court

The Intellectual Property High Court found that differences in the shape of the upper rims of the two storage bins were enough to defeat the claim, even though other structural elements were shared, highlighting the high bar plaintiffs face when asserting design rights in Japan.
