Chinese authority sanctions government body, IT vendor for data-protection lapses

A routine inspection by Chongqing cyber police revealed that the entity's system lacked essential safeguards, leading to partial data exposure and significant security risks. The network-data operator did not fulfill its legal obligations, the center said.
