'Perceived' Qantas conflict prompted Australian regulator to develop workaround

By James Panichi ( July 8, 2025, 08:42 GMT | Insight) -- A senior former official with Australia’s antitrust watchdog warned her colleagues last year that her ongoing membership of the deluxe, invitation-only Qantas Chairman’s Lounge was a “perceived” conflict of interest due to her work on the collection of airline data and an airports-monitoring report.
