Syngenta refusing to meaningfully reply to information requests, US FTC says

( July 7, 2025, 22:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission and several state plaintiffs told a North Carolina federal judge that Syngenta "has refused to respond in a meaningful way to requests concerning the company’s market share, as calculated in the ordinary course of business, for the three active ingredients at the core of Plaintiffs’ claims against Syngenta." The FTC and states allege that Syngenta and Corteva have unfairly impeded competitors and artificially inflated the prices that US farmers pay for crop-protection products through so-called loyalty programs. In a reply memorandum in support of their motion to compel, the FTC and states asserted that "Syngenta has refused to admit the indisputable content of its internal documents."See attached filing....
