UK online tracking rules to be updated following new data law

The privacy regulator is seeking views on a new chapter about storage and access technologies, formerly known as the detailed cookies guidance. As the recently passed Data Act allows consent-free use of cookies for certain low-risk functions, such as statistical analysis and website improvement, the ICO is inviting comments on its new proposed regulatory approach to help clarify enforcement expectations under the new legal framework.Statement follows....
