Chinese AUX Electic units to face trial over unfair business practices in Indonesia

( July 7, 2025, 05:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLEX Summary: The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, said it will soon start the trial of Chinese AUX Electic Indonesian subsidiaries, namely Ningbo AUX Electric, Ningbo AUX IMP & EXP, and PT Teknologi Cipta Harapan Semesta over alleged unfair business practices in Indonesia against its local partner PT Berkat Elektrik Sejati Tangguh, known as PT BEST. PT Best has been the sole official agent for AUX brand air conditioning products in Indonesia for the past 20 years. The case began when AUX Exim unilaterally terminated its distribution contract with Berkat Elektrik Sejati Tangguh in mid-2024 for alleged failed targets.
