China alone was responsible for 39 percent. Between January and April 2025, solar power grew across BRICS members, led by China with 98 terawatt-hours of growth, followed by India with 14.1 TWh and Brazil with 7.9 TWh, while Russia continues to “lag behind,” the report said.
