They are worried that the creation of the biggest milk cooperative in Europe will weaken the position of milk producers.Two associations representing German farmers — the Bundesverband Deutscher Milchviehhalter, or BDM, and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft bäuerliche Landwirtschaft,or ABL — told MLex that they are planning to contact the European Commission to express their concerns over the planned merger between Arla and DMK, respectively a Dutch and a German milk cooperative....
