Brazil high court reshapes platform liability, with marketplaces subject to consumer code

The ruling emerged from an 8-3 vote deeming the article unconstitutional. Marketplaces such as Mercado Livre are now subject to the Consumer Protection Code, which implies stricter liability standards.
