Adult websites to adopt UK age checks but still push for device-based solution

Enforcement looms from July 25, when platforms will be responsible for deploying “highly effective” age-assurance under regulator Ofcom's rules. Aylo, Pornhub’s parent, still maintains that device-based checks are safer but has committed to comply with the UK regulatory framework.Major online pornography platforms including Pornhub, YouPorn and RedTube say they will introduce age-assurance measures in the UK from next month, marking a significant shift for services that have long resisted age checks at the level of individual websites....
