Finnish real estate trade body, companies fined for competition breaches

( June 26, 2025, 10:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Finnish Real Estate Management Federation and six companies engaged in price-fixing in breach of antitrust rules, the nation’s Supreme Administrative Court has ruled. As a result, the association and the companies must pay fines totaling 6.56 million euros. In 2021, the competition authority proposed that the Market Court impose fines totaling 22 million euros on the association and the involved companies for price coordination. In 2022, the Market Court levied penalties totaling 4.93 million euros in penalties. The watchdog said it welcomed the Supreme Administrative court’s recognition of the companies' active role in the anticompetitive conduct.Statement follows (in Finnish). ...
