Sika, Saint-Gobain, others win dismissal of US price-fixing claims over cement

( June 25, 2025, 21:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Sika, Saint-Gobain, Master Builder Group and Euclid Group won dismissal of US claims accusing them of illegally fixing the prices of concrete admixtures, cement additives, admixtures for mortar and products containing or bundled with them. District Judge Lewis J. Liman found that while the companies increased prices over the length of the alleged class period by, they did so in different amounts, covering different geographic regions and product lines, and at different times. Additionally, Liman said that the fact that the Department of Justice launched an investigation doesn't make it any more than possible, and not plausible, that the companies violated antitrust law.
