Google can't relitigate adtech claims, advertisers, publishers tell US judge

( June 20, 2025, 17:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google should be precluded from relitigating issues decided by a ruling from the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on antitrust claims, publishers and advertisers told a New York federal judge overseeing similar claims. "Applying collateral estoppel here would serve judicial economy by narrowing the pre-trial and trial issues to be litigated and enabling the Court to grant partial summary judgment on matters already decided against Google in the EDVA action," multidistrict litigation plaintiffs said in a memo filed in the US Southern District of New York supporting their motions for collateral estoppel and partial summary judgement. The claims were brought by a US Department of Justice-led coalition involving digital advertising technology marketsSee attached documents....
