Retailer Vatan ends Turkish cartel probe with settlement

( June 20, 2025, 13:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vatan Bilgisayar, a Turkish electronics retail chain, has been fined more than 20 million lira (around $527,294) by the national antitrust authority for taking part in an indirect information exchange involving rivals MediaMarkt and Teknosa, facilitated through wholesale distributor Fakir. Vatan received a 25 percent reduction on its fine for agreeing to settle the probe. Earlier this week, the Turkish competition watchdog announced a 17 million-lira fine against retailer Teknosa for engaging in the same conduct.Statement follows....
