Choi Min-hee from the Democratic Party of Korea, who led the proposal along with 12 colleagues, said in a statement she had decided to draft the law based on the judgment that South Korea should embark on an all-out drive to develop the AI industry in step with a global trend of major countries carrying out investments on an unprecedented scale.
