Deere dealers' performance 'central' to corporate strategy, US FTC says

( June 18, 2025, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Deere & Company’s decisions about whether to make fully functional repair tools widely available hinges on the company’s analysis of a “Dealer Financial Data” database sought by plaintiffs in parallel antitrust cases against thes' agricultural equipment giant, according to a joint memo supporting motions to compel filed by the a US Federal Trade Commission-led coalition and private plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation proceeding in the Northern District of Illinois. “The financial profitability and performance of Deere’s dealers, as captured in the DFA data, are central to Deere’s corporate strategy,” the memo said, adding that a Deere objection premised on the “supposed unreliability of the data” is premature and bears on evidentiary value rather than discoverability.See attached document....
