US toy companies appeal to Supreme Court in tariff challenge

( June 17, 2025, 23:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: Educational toy companies Learning Resources and hand2mind have asked the US Supreme Court to review a case challenging President Donald Trump's use of emergency authorities to impose sweeping global tariffs. The companies have a pending case before the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit but have asked the Supreme Court for a writ of certiorari before judgment, a request for the high court to hear a challenge before a lower court rules, calling it an urgent matter to be decided quickly.
