BEUC calls for more transparency in competition-related lobbying in EU

( June 18, 2025, 09:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Consumer Organization BEUC asked Olivier Guersent, the head of the EU Commission's department for competition policy, to enforce stricter transparency standards on competition-related lobbying. BEUC suggests in particular that the commission should ask all participants of its conferences and public consultations to properly disclose their interests. The commission should also refuse to participate in third-party events where such disclosure is not requested, BEUC said.Letter is attached....
