Brazil needs ‘moderate’ AI regulation, Supreme Court president says

Luís Roberto Barroso defended rules aimed at protecting democracy and fundamental rights, while acknowledging the difficulty of regulating rapidly evolving technologies. Google executive Daniel Arbix, speaking on a panel alongside him, agreed Brazil needs AI regulation, but differed on how it should look.Artificial intelligence should be regulated in Brazil with dialogue and moderation, the president of the country’s Supreme Court, Justice Luís Roberto Barroso, told MLex ahead of a UK conference organized by Brazilian academics....
