UK Legal Aid Agency cyberattack triggers court ban on sharing breached data

( June 4, 2025, 14:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A court injunction has been issued to prohibit the sharing of any personal data compromised in a cyberattack on the UK Legal Aid Agency earlier this year. A London court ruled today that anyone who does so could face imprisonment. The agency, a UK government body that funds legal services for individuals who cannot afford them, experienced the cyberattack in April. In May, it confirmed that personal data from several applicants had been breached. It has reported the breach to the UK data protection watchdog, the Information Commissioner’s Office.Statement follows....
