WCO Spectrum files US antitrust counterclaims against T-Mobile over spectrum licenses

( March 31, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: WCO Spectrum filed US counterclaims accusing T-Mobile of maintaining an illegal monopsony over the market for electronic broadband service/broadband radio service spectrum rights. According to WCO, T-Mobile has employed restrictive lease terms with EBS license holders designed to foil competitive bidding, defensive acquisitions of EBS licenses that strengthen its monopsony; and a campaign of lawfare and threats designed to intimidate its EBS license lessors from seeking competitive bids. T-Mobile filed a suit accusing WCO of engaging in an illegal enterprise with co-conspirators in which they make sham offers to educational institutions to purchase spectrum licenses that are intended to be conveyed to T-Mobile.See attached file. ...
