Finnish pharmacy fined for GDPR violations in online services

From 2018 to 2022, its online pharmacy service shared sensitive health-related data — including medication choices and user identifiers — via cookies and tracking tools with Google and Meta without proper safeguards. The issue came to light through academic research, the watchdog said.
