South Korean publishers turn to US class action to fight Apple's billing practices (update*)

The Korean Publishers Association and the Korea Electronic Publishing Association are seeking damages and injunctive relief on behalf of all South Korean app developers distributing apps through Apple’s App Store. The case marks a strategic pivot by the South Korean associations, who say they were forced to turn to the US court system after repeated efforts to pursue the matter domestically ran into jurisdictional barriers.
