Amazon, US FTC fight over trial date in antitrust case

( May 28, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Amazon and the US Federal Trade Commission are fighting over whether an October 2026 trial date should be pushed back in the agency's monopolization case against the e-commerce giant, according a joint status report. In the report submitted in advance of a June 2 status conference, Amazon asked a Washington federal judge to maintain the Oct. 13, 2026 trial date. But the FTC argued that the company "has not identified any prejudice it will face if this case is tried in early 2027." The FTC said there was "enough time to reset the schedule in order to allow for the orderly completion of both fact and expert discovery." See attached file....
