Deere files reply seeking judgment against US antitrust case over repairs

( May 28, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Deere & Company filed a reply in support of its motion for judgment on the pleadings against the US Federal Trade Commission and a group of five states' antitrust claims over the price of its parts and repairs services for farmers. Deere said that the case attempts to ride the coattails of a related multidistrict litigation that is “premised on the same conduct,” and the plaintiffs are inviting the court to rubberstamp the complaint on that basis. “In reality, despite having years of pre-complaint discovery, plaintiffs offer fewer factual allegations and fewer legal theories, and instead stake their case on a single theory that was not present in the MDL: that Deere unilaterally monopolized a market in which it does not compete by refusing to deal with those who do.”See attached file. ...
