American Axle's acquisition of Dowlais cleared in India

( May 28, 2025, 07:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The proposed global acquisition of Dowlais Group by American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, has received clearance from the Indian antitrust watchdog. American Axle, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, will acquire the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Dowlais, a London Stock Exchange-listed company. Both companies are significant players in the automotive supply chain. American Axle specializes in drive transmission components and metal forming technologies for various vehicle types, while Dowlais focuses on driveline products, sintered metal products, atomized metal powders and additive manufacturing processes. Both groups have a presence in India, supplying drive transmission and metal automotive components.
