The Leadership in Critical and Emerging Technology Act would mandate the US Patent and Trademark Office create a pilot program to expedite 15,000 patent applications in artificial intelligence, semiconductor design and quantum information science.Congress is continuing its focus on countering the perceived threat of Chinese tech innovation with a bipartisan bill that would expedite US patent applications for technologies in critical and emerging fields....
