NJOY withdraws appeal in UPC case against Juul Labs

( May 26, 2025, 15:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: NJOY Netherlands has formally withdrawn its appeal in a case against Juul Labs International Inc. concerning European Patent 3,504,991, which relates to vaporizer technology. The case originated from NJOY’s attempt to revoke Juul Labs' patent, which was dismissed by the Unified Patent Court Paris Central Division in November. Although NJOY initially contested the cost allocation, it later moved to drop the appeal, with both parties agreeing to bear their own legal costs. The Court of Appeal accepted the withdrawal, canceled the upcoming hearing, and ordered a 40 percent reimbursement of NJOY's court fees. See court document attached....
