UPC revokes Hurom patent in infringement dispute with NUC Electronics

By Inbar Preiss ( May 26, 2025, 14:20 GMT | Insight) -- The Unified Patent Court revoked key claims of Hurom’s juicer patent and dismissed all infringement claims against NUC Electronics and its affiliates, finding the amended claims lacked an inventive step. While Hurom’s amendments overcame added-matter objections, the court ruled that the claimed technical benefits were routine and already disclosed in prior art. A claim concerning alleged infringement in Poland was deemed admissible but failed due to lack of factual evidence.Juicer maker Hurom saw several national parts of its patent revoked by the Unified Patent Court, which also dismissed all related infringement claims against NUC Electronics, its German subsidiary and French distributor Warmcook....
