Filament yarn antidumping duties may harm competition, Indonesian regulator says

( May 26, 2025, 08:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Statement: A plan by the Ministry of Trade to impose antidumping import duties on certain synthetic filament yarn products from China could disrupt a healthy business competition climate and harm downstream industries, the Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, warned. The regulator said the domestic filament yarn market was highly concentrated and several main segments were controlled by one or two business players. The planned imposition of the anti-dumping duty policy follows an investigation by the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee, which believes there were dumping practices by China.
