Singapore fines contractors S$4.6 million for bid rigging in public tenders

( May 23, 2025, 06:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore has fined Trust-Build Engineering and Hunan Fengtian Construction a total of S$4.64 million ($3.6 million) for engaging in bid rigging in relation to three public-sector tenders with a total value of S$56 million issued by the People’s Association. The CCCS said the companies coordinated bid prices and tender documents in 2022, eliminating independent decision-making and distorting competitive pressure. Although neither company secured any of the contracts, the conduct was detected by the procuring agency and referred to the CCCS.
