Meta fails to completely get out of Flo Health US privacy case

US District Judge James Donato denied a motion for judgment, saying that disputes of fact abound with respect to the scope of consent, the timing of Meta’s “interception” or “eavesdropping,” whether Meta “intended” to intercept communications, whether Meta’s interception occurred while the communications were “in transit,” and the like. Donato did grant judgment as to the plaintiffs’ wiretap claim, finding that Flo consented to Meta’s data collection practices.See attached file. ...
