China's Zhejiang Province unveils measures to drive AI innovation

( May 22, 2025, 04:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China's Zhejiang Province — home to AI model DeepSeek and e-commerce giant Alibaba — has introduced a package of 27 measures in six areas to drive the innovative development of artificial intelligence, according to the General Office of the Zhejiang Provincial government. Key initiatives include building a high-quality industrial ecosystem by boosting capital support, strengthening intellectual property protection and attracting and fostering top talent. The measures also include computing-power subsidies, expansion of access to valuable data, acceleration of AI model research and development, and fostering diverse applications.
