Pan American-MAG merger requires antitrust approval in Canada, Mexico but not US

( May 21, 2025, 22:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Silver miners Pan American and MAG need to obtain merger antitrust clearance from the Canadian Competition Bureau and Mexico's Federal Economic Competition Commission, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The companies aren't required to seek this kind of approval within the US, because MAG "does not hold assets located in the United States with a fair market value of greater than US$126.4 million and has not made aggregate sales in or into the United States of over US$126.4 million in its most recent fiscal year," the filing states. See SEC filing excerpts below....
