Noyb criticizes EU GDPR procedural rule changes, warns of court challenge

( May 20, 2025, 16:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New procedural rules for the EU General Data Protection Regulation, potentially set to be finalized tomorrow, threaten to "paralyze" enforcement and could breach fair procedure rights, privacy rights organization Noyb said today, warning that it may attempt to get the changes annulled in the EU courts. The Austrian group, headed by Max Schrems, said it is studying its options to bring a challenge to the EU Court of Justice. The group criticizes the overall draft and says it risks undermining GDPR enforcement "by introducing excessively long deadlines and overly complex procedures." Statement follows....
