Indonesia antitrust chief backs investigation into alleged gas corruption

( May 19, 2025, 04:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The chairman of the Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, M. Fanshurullah Asa, has pledged to cooperate with the country’s anti-corruption agency, or KPK, in its investigation into alleged graft involving state-owned gas distributor PGN and private company PT Inti Alasindo Energi. He was called to testify as a witness based on his former role as head of downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas, but he emphasized the importance of strengthening the cooperation and information exchange between the KPPU and KPK.
