The system aims to allow customs officials to verify authenticity during inspections and expedite clearance for legitimate shipments. The tech promises quicker logistics and lower costs, but adoption depends on executive backing and overcoming setup hurdles, especially for companies that are less tech-savvy.The EU Intellectual Property Office, which handles the bloc’s trademarks and designs, is looking to blockchain to help brands track their authentic goods and slow down Europe’s counterfeiting market, estimated to be worth $117 billion....
