Changes to Lithuania’s competition law could enter into force in 2026, watchdog says

( May 15, 2025, 14:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Companies in Lithuania going to court over antitrust fines imposed by the national authority will see the enforcement of half of the fine — and the corresponding interest — suspended until the court's ruling takes effect, under changes to competition law that were backed by the national parliament today. A new provision has also been inserted, under which the Competition Council will provide assistance to businesses and public administration bodies, advising them on supervision issues and on taking preventive actions.
