Disputes over deforestation rules and raw materials had stalled negotiations, but geopolitical pressures, including US tariffs, have revived efforts to finalize the agreement this year. Bernd Lange talked of “light at the end of the tunnel" for the deal, first discussed almost a decade ago.EU talks with Indonesia to seal a free-trade deal are on the right track and may be finished “by mid this year,” European Parliament trade committee chair Bernd Lange said today....
