Bullsone fined for resale price maintenance, exclusive dealings in South Korea

( May 14, 2025, 02:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Bullsone, a South Korean car care product maker, has been fined 2 billion won ($1.4 million) by the Korea Fair Trade Commission, or KFTC, for engaging in resale price maintenance, exclusive dealings and interfering with business activities. The company restricted franchisees from selling products below pre-set prices, prohibited them from selling franchise store products online and limited product supplies to certain retailers. It also unfairly required franchisees to submit sales records and income statements, interfering with their business operations. The KFTC found that these practices restricted price competition and harmed consumers in violation of the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act and Fair Agency Transactions Act.  The statement, in Korean, is attached....
