Japanese sesame-oil producers sanctioned for cartel behavior by JFTC

In addition, Kadoya was fined 22 million yen ($149,000) for participating in price cartels affecting sesame oils and sesame sold to three business users. The JFTC said that consumers who purchased processed food products using these companies' ingredients were harmed by artificially inflated prices amid rising food costs.
