UK government claims success in first use of in-house AI to assess live consultation

The consultation responses had themselves been created via a generative AI process. The government now expects to roll out the “Consult” tool, part of its in-house “Humphrey” suite of AI applications, in the hope of saving 75,000 days of manual analysis each year and saving 20 million pounds ($26 million) in staffing costs.
