EU must stop chasing US and rethink AI strategy with agile facilities, lawmakers say

It should not and cannot pursue the US approach, they said.EU lawmakers criticized the European Commission for lacking a clear strategy as it announced large rounds of funding to promote AI facilities. The large-scale ecosystems of supercomputers and data centers, known in Brussels as “AI factories,” are unsuitable for European companies’ needs, they said....
