States look to block Sandoz settlement in generic drug litigation

( May 9, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A group of US states, territories and the District of Columbia asked a US judge to allow them to intervene in a private suit accusing Sandoz of engaging in a conspiracy to fix the prices of generic pharmaceuticals, seeking to oppose a settlement with end-payers. “The settlement implicates the states’ ever-present interest in obtaining a fair recovery for consumers harmed by Sandoz’s anticompetitive conduct, which the settlement and allocation plan, especially taken together, do not provide. The settlement also implicates additional sovereign interests the states have relating to the claims against Sandoz that states have been vigorously litigating on behalf of consumers for nearly a decade and which are currently in the District of Connecticut,” they said.See attached file....
